Autumn 2026: The Subscription Platform Market in Numbers

The creator platform market has grown another notch: autumn reports and research finally make it possible to see how big this industry really is and where it's heading. The short version.

OnlyFans: a $7.85B machine

The industry's largest platform reported $7.85B in gross revenue for the fiscal year ended November 30, 2025 — up 9% year over year. For context, that's more than the annual revenue of many public tech companies.

Its audience is estimated in the hundreds of millions of fan accounts and around three million creators. OnlyFans remains the monopoly on brand recognition: when someone says "I have a subscription page", they mean this one.

Fansly: one-third of the giant

The main challenger is consolidating: industry reports put Fansly at roughly 130 million registered users — about one-third of OnlyFans' fan base. For a platform only a few years into its public life, that's scale: it first rode the 2021 wave of creator migration and hasn't given up ground since.

Fansly keeps playing a different game: multi-tier subscriptions, organic discovery via FYP, crypto payments — all things the market leader lacks or ships slowly.

Fanvue: the fastest growth

The most striking dynamics belong to the third player: per Sacra's estimates, Fanvue's annualized revenue grew from $100M to $200M in just six months, from late 2025 to May 2026. The platform counts 17 million monthly active users and 325,000 creators.

Fanvue bets on AI-creator tooling and aggressive verification — and by the numbers, the bet works: the platform pulls in creators who need new audiences faster than incumbents can message them.

What it means for creators

Three takeaways from the autumn numbers:

The market grows rather than cannibalizes. The leader's 9% growth alongside active competition means the pie itself is expanding — new platforms take new creators from OnlyFans, not its audience.

Competition is fought with tooling. Commissions have equalized (20%) across the board, so platforms battle for creators with features: analytics, organic traffic, AI tools, payout speed. Whoever closes the pain point faster, wins.

Multi-platform is the new normal. With several platforms close on terms, the sensible strategy is duplicating content across 2–3 and watching where the audience responds best. There are no winners among platforms yet — there are winners among creators who don't keep everything in one basket.
